Laser Scanning & 3D Modelling – Cape Otway Road, Birregurra

Our team recently undertook a unique surveying project at Cape Otway Road, Birregurra, applying advanced laser scanning technology to measure a 150-year-old bluestone shearing shed. The task involved capturing precise data of the entire structure—internally, externally and underneath the floor to assess the foundations.

Using a long-range laser scanner, we meticulously scanned every detail of the historic building, ensuring the integrity of the measurements for both preservation and future developments. Our survey provided a comprehensive 3D model, which was handed over to our architect clients to assist in their planning and design of a new function centre at the site.
