Engineering Surveying – The Switch, Melbourne

Swanson Surveying has been engaged to provide construction set out and as-built surveying services for The Switch, Berkeley St, a purpose-built student accommodation development at Elizabeth Street, Melbourne.

The project is a 22-storey student accommodation building located in Melbourne’s education precinct, within walking distance of the University of Melbourne and RMIT University. The development delivers student housing, shared amenities, wellness facilities, rooftop spaces and ground-floor activation, while integrating retained heritage façade elements with a contemporary built form.

Swanson’s construction surveying team is supporting the builder and key subcontractors with accurate, responsive and practical site-based survey services.

Our scope includes project control, structural and gridline set out, slab and penetration set out, level control, services set out, progressive as-built surveys and survey records to support construction verification and quality assurance.

The project adds to Swanson Surveying’s experience delivering set out, as-built and engineering surveying services on complex, multi-discipline building projects across Victoria.
