Land Surveyor – Rural Dams, Mornington Peninsula

Knowing a dam’s water carrying capacity is crucial for the agriculture industry which is why many businesses have their dams surveyed accurately by land surveyors. Swanson Surveying was engaged recently to conduct a volume survey of 4 large dams located on a property on the Mornington Peninsula so that the client could ascertain the location, dimensions and capacity of their dams. Using our Trimble GPS unit and total station to measure the water levels and dam surface, our clients were provided with a clear Plan of Survey summarising their dams’ volumes and capacity.

Volume surveys can also be used to accurately measure a variety of products including quarry/mine stockpiles, industrial storage facility volumes like grain, fertiliser and other bulk goods, and bulk earthworks volumes.

Please contact Swanson Surveying if you require more information or to discuss your next project.
