Structural Movement Monitoring Survey – Deakin University, Waterfront, Campus, Geelong

Swanson Surveying has been engaged to monitor the saw-tooth roof structure of the former Dalgety PLC Wool Store, now part of Deakin University’s Waterfront Campus in Geelong.

This monitoring survey plays a crucial role in supporting a detailed engineering report on the structure’s vertical deflection over time. Given the full-height atrium below the structure, access is significantly limited, requiring remote measurement techniques to minimise disruption to university activities.

This initial survey establishes a baseline for a periodical, ongoing investigation, ensuring accurate and reliable data for long-term structural assessment.

Swanson Surveying is proud to contribute precise data to support the longevity and safety of this iconic heritage structure.
